Meet Pakistani miniature artist who invents world's smallest vacuum cleaner
Interview of globally recognised artist known for his tiny pieces of art made with pencil lead
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Ahsan Qayyum, a record holding Pakistani miniature artist, has broken another record and secured entry once again into the Guinness Book of World Records after inventing smallest vacuum cleaner.
This was revealed by Ahsan Qayyum in the morning show of Lahore News HD “Jaago Lahore” with Muneeba Asif.
It is pertinent to mention here that the globally recognised miniature artist is known for his tiny pieces of art made with pencils and pencil lead. Qayyum set the first world record was a chain of 75 links made with pencil lead.
During the interview, the Pakistani miniature artist said that he has secured another record in Guinness World Records, by making the world’s smallest vacuum cleaner.
Explaining about the procedure of making the smallest vacuum cleaner, Ahsan Qayyum said that he carved the pencil’s wood from the inside and set the machine within it. “It is totally operational. It is an electrically powered device, which pulls debris/dust inside it through suction resulting from negative internal pressure,” he added.
To a question about how he got the idea to make vacuum cleaner, the Pakistani miniature artist said that it was last year in March when he came across the world’s smallest vacuum cleaner on Guinness World Record s website, made by an Indian miniature artist.
“I decided to break the record and made the official attempt, after four months of planning, in October. “I executed my attempt on making a vacuum cleaner as small as 1.9 centimetres, considering the Indian record of a 2.9cm vacuum cleaner,” he maintained.
“Breaking the record of Indian miniature artist emerged with a 1.4cm long vacuum cleaner, I finally led him to getting recognised by Guinness World Records as the record bearer of the world’s smallest vacuum cleaner, measuring only 1.3cm,” Qayyum told.
“I always feel happy following my latest record-breaking efforts and cannot express my feelings in the words. I have been working in this field for six years. I joined this creative nature work after inspiring form the Russian artist. Being experiencing God gifted skill, I started to make many arts and then felt lucky to get these achievements on the world recognized organization (Guinness), he said while replying to a question of interviewer.”
To another question about first record in 2019, the artist also said that the first world record was a chain of 75 links made with pencil lead, hanging down a Rs6 pencil. “This first record had broken another Indian artist’s record of a chain with 58 links made on the same medium,” he mentioned.
Qayyum s many unique art pieces were also displayed during the interview and he briefed about his art work pieces as well as hard working. Not only Ahsan is renowned in Pakistan but also get the popularity all over the world with his unique, beautiful and creative pieces of art works.
